To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Ensemble intercontemporain has invited 50 composers to join forces in creating a collective work: a portrait in fifty fragments, with Philippe Manoury at the helm of its dramaturgy. Alongside this work, unique in its kind, a masterpiece by Pierre Boulez, "…explosante-fixe…", will be performed for the first time in the Philharmonie de Paris’s main concert hall, which bears the composer’s name.
